| Hey all welcome back to the Carnage convention site for another year! Once again we are beginning the process of gathering great games for you all to play at Carnage 11. This includes the board games! Last year we had the largest selection of board games at Carnage ever….and we are looking to offer even more this year! We will be looking for GMs again this year to run new and exciting board games, as well as old classics. If you are interested please submit a GM request form found on the website. I will begin reviewing them as they start to come in….! Also please be sure to look for Carnage member’s running board games at the upcoming resurrection on North East Wars in Burlington VT, the weekend of April 4-6. Below is a list of games that Carnage gaming will be presenting that weekend. Come say hello! Friday afternoon: -1960: The Making of the President (Rodney Sheldon, Carnage Gaming) 2-4 players What better game to play during an election year? Come see if you have what it takes to run a successful election campaign. This two player game recreates one of the greatest elections ever held in this country; Kennedy vs. Nixon. Can you change history and help Nixon to the White House. Or will history repeat itself and will Jack Kennedy sit in the oval office? Friday night: -Diplomacy (Robert Rouse, Carnage Gaming) 4-7 players Come play this classic game of negotiation, misdirection and European dominance. The rules are easy. There is no luck. Just need to talk your opponents into seeing things your way! -World of Warcraft (Kevin Day, Carnage Gaming) 2-6 players Take on the role of a chivalrous paladin or a wise shaman, a holy priest or a vile warlock, a mighty mage or a crafty rogue. Play as a savage orc, a mighty tauren, a tribal troll, or one of the Forsaken undead; become an ingenious gnome, a doughty dwarf, a mysterious Night Elf, or a noble human. Come play this game based on the popular online role playing game. Saturday Morning: -Pirates Cove (Kevin Day, Carnage Gaming) 3-10 players Fun game of sailing the seven seas as a dread pirate! Build your ship and take her to sea against the some of the most scurvy dogs you will ever meet on the high seas! -Settlers: Struggle for Rome (Michael Tutt, Carnage Gaming) 3-4 players Set in Southern Europe this variation of settlers has the players controlling Germanic tribes marching on Rome. Wage war, build cities and conquer Southern Europe! -Die Macher (Chuck Davis, Carnage Gaming) 3-5 players This is another Election year classic. This time you will control one of five political parties in Germany. As the leader of your party, you must guide them through seven elections in different regions of Germany, building national support and winning seats in the German Bundestag. Can you lead your party to the Chancellor chair? Saturday Afternoon: -Game of Thrones (Rodney Sheldon, Carnage Gaming) 3-6 players The great houses of Westeros are vying for control of the Iron Throne. Can you lead the Lannisters to the throne? Or will winter come early for the Lions and the Starks will take the prize. All must be wary of a wildling assault. Use your armies and deceptions to end the chaos and ascend the Iron Throne. A Clash of Kings expansion will be used for a six player game. Saturday Night: -Imperial (Robert Rouse, Carnage Gaming) 3-6 players You take the role of a financial investor in during the age of Imperialism in Europe. Invest your money into any of the six great nations of Europe: England, France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Russia. Broker that investment into political influence as the players try to become the most powerful person on the continent, by controlling the most powerful imperial nations and knowing when to cut your losses! -Winds of Plunder/Cartagena (Doug Neet, Carnage Gaming) 3-5 players Winds of Plunder is set in the Caribbean at a time when the Pirates ruled this area. Pirates compete to become the most feared pirate in the Caribbean. Plunder ports, find buried treasure, and fight broadside to broadside to spread your reputation thru out the Caribbean. Cartagena is card game based on the 1672 pirate led jailbreak from the fortress of Cartagena. Can you lead your pirates from the underground dungeon to freedom? Both games will be played in the slot. Sunday Morning: -Ticket to Ride (Kevin Day, Carnage Gaming) 3-10 players Get your tickets and come aboard! Try this massively popular train game and its variations. Ticket to Ride Europe, Ticket to Ride Marklin and the new three player variation, Ticket to Ride Switzerland will all be available for play. -Notre Dame (Rodney Sheldon, Carnage Gaming) 3-5 players Players will take the role of rich Parisians, looking to improve their prestige by improving the importance and appearance of the city quarter surrounding the famous Notre Dame Cathedral. Each player will use their resources to build up a portion of the Notre Dame City quarter. But they must be careful to avoid the rats that carry the plague. -Formula De (Doug Neet, Carnage Gaming) 3-10 players Come try out this fast paced racing game. Pick your car and start your engines. Can you navigate the track to win the race or will you end up in the wall? -Last Night on Earth (Chuck Davis, Carnage Gaming) 2-6 players Can help your friends and neighbors survive their last night on earth? Or would you rather help the zombies? Players can take on either role in this new horror game. This is a fast paced game in which the hero player’s work together to survive the night and the Zombie players….well all they want is more BRAINS! |
